Directories first, then audio files, then everything else — exactly like Finder or Explorer. Switch the folder to audio-only and it shows just your tracks, each with its waveform, BPM, key and duration rendered inline. The breadcrumb navigates by segment; back / forward history is kept per pane. Every column — filename, BPM, key, duration, artist, title, album — is sortable, reorderable and resizable, and remembers how you left it. Pin the folders you live in and Flow indexes every audio file inside in the background — waveforms, BPM and key are ready the moment you browse in, and the index stays warm so the search popover and Move popover can surface any track or subfolder by name.
Press Cmd+F and a spotlight-style overlay drops down. Type a few letters and Flow searches across every folder and track inside your pinned folders simultaneously — fuzzy-matched on title, artist, album and path. Folders and tracks are grouped into two sections; each track row shows its metadata inline (artist · album · duration · BPM · key). Select a folder and the active pane navigates to it. Select a track and the pane opens its parent folder with the cursor already on the row — ready to play, drag, or rename. One key to open, one key to land.
Press Cmd+M and a single input drops down with your most-recently-used target already selected. Type a few letters to fuzzy-filter across pinned folders, recent targets and their subfolders — a nested crate three levels deep surfaces from a fragment of its name. Or type a path to browse the live directory: Enter drills deeper, Enter on the resolved path commits the move. A copy / move toggle sits in the badge row; guards prevent no-op moves into the same or a parent folder. One key to open, one key to confirm.
Focus an audio row, press Cmd+S, and Flow renders a high-resolution spectrogram with clean axis labels (frequency, time, track title, length). Z toggles 1:1 zoom with horizontal scroll, Esc closes, Cmd+S inside the dialog saves the PNG anywhere. The colormap, resolution, gain and channel mode are configurable; the PNG is cached so the second view is instant.
Focus a row, press Cmd+E, and every tag field opens inline. Flow writes back to the real file across many formats. Select N files and the same shortcut opens a bulk editor with a checkbox-per-field form (Kid3 style) — check a field to write it to every file, leave it unchecked to keep individual values. A "copy detected value" button fills each file's BPM and key from the analysis pipeline. Embedded artwork is first-class: a dedicated image dialog sets, adds or removes pictures by ID3 type, with drag-and-drop, paste and bulk cover replacement.
